Scindapsus Pictus 'Dapple Dude'
The Dapple Dude (Scindapsus pictus) is native to Southeast Asia and has the reputation of being one of the easiest houseplants to keep alive. It has striking heart shaped leaves that are dark green splashed with silvery grey, giving them a satin sheen.
Basic Care
The Scindapsus Dapple Dude need bright light that is indirect. Direct light will cause the plant’s leaves to burn, while too little light will cause the plant’s color to fade. This plant will tolerate some medium to lower light conditions, but it can impede its growth rate.
Dapple Dude prefer to allow their soil to dry out a bit before watering. Wait to water the plant until about 75% of its soil is dry. When it is time to water the Dapple Dude, make sure to do so deeply, soaking the roots and allowing the excess water to drain out.
